President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a four-point-anti-GBV plan ordering a 60-day national audit of unresolved gender-based violence and femicide cases, and safety audits in every municipality to identify places where women are vulnerable, including areas affected by poor lighting, unsafe public spaces and infrastructure failures.
