Former U.S. President, Barack Obama, has made his first direct comments in reaction to a racist video posted by the Truth Social account of US President Donald Trump in which Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama were portrayed as apes.
The video, posted earlier this month, was first defended by the White House that later deleted it due to bipartisan outrage at the racist depiction of the former black first couple of the country.
Obama was speaking on the Brian Tyler Cohen podcast and explained that he didn't believe the majority of Americans approved of the post or the loss in decorum that it represented.
