What Did Trump Supporters Think Would Happen?

Reality hits hard when you don’t understand

There’s been a rather bizarre trend in the last year Trump has been in office: at various points of crisis, former supporters of his have expressed frustration with his policy pursuits. We saw this when he was really pushing his tariffs, which are now resurgent as a result of Europe’s refusal to hand over Greenland and Trump’s apparent desire to occupy the country and bring it under US rule.

Another aspect we’re seeing is that this apparent regret for voting for Trump is in regard to the recent ICE raids, which have garnered considerable traction in the media, not least of which because of the unfortunate killing of Renee Good at the hands of ICE agent Jonathan Ross. We’ve seen countless examples of people who were fully on board with Trump during his campaign and the early part of his presidency now expressing concern or even regret for voting for Him as a result of the actions taken by ICE since he returned to office.
