South African singer Naledi Aphiwe has raised alarm after revealing that her official booking cellphone number has been hacked. The artist took to social media to warn her fans, promoters, and business partners about the situation, urging them to be cautious and avoid falling victim to scams.

In a post shared online, Naledi explained that an unknown individual has gained access to her booking line and is now impersonating her management team. She also announced a R10 000 cash reward for anyone who can provide information that could help identify and catch the person responsible.

In the caption, she wrote, “It’s unfortunate, but my booking number has been hacked. Please don’t fall victim to scams only trust verified details. Your support and awareness mean everything.”

Her management has made it clear that any communication coming from the compromised number should not be trusted. The statement further reads, “Any communication, booking confirmations, or payment requests made through the compromised number 072 693 9541 and Capitec Account Number 2066879823 are fraudulent. The culprit behind this scam is an individual by the name Xolani Keitumetse Chiloane with the phone number: 0764952590.”

In an effort to resolve the situation quickly, Naledi’s team is asking the public for help. “Please assist us track down this scammer by providing information to the investigating officer on +27608089601. A R10 000 cash reward will be given to the person that provides us with information that leads to the apprehension of this individual.”

To prevent further damage, the team has advised that all official bookings should only be made through their verified email address. “All official bookings and business engagements should only be conducted through the following verified communication Email bookings@nalediaphiwe.com.”

They also encouraged everyone in the industry to double-check booking details before making any payments. “We urge all promoters and stakeholders to be cautious and verify all booking communications directly with the management team before making any commitments or payments. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
