This is the first article I’m writing. I simply want to share my thoughts, my perspective on society and the world around us. Today, this Earth has more abundance, resources, and technology than perhaps at any other time in history. We are currently searching for life on other planets and exploring the possibilities of living on them. We have advanced significantly in technology compared to the past. We now have artificial intelligence that can perform tasks faster and more efficiently than we can. China has even created its own artificial sun. We have also started cloning. Despite all this progress, we haven’t been able to create a society where people can live without worry, in love and peace, with harmony and deep understanding among themselves, where no one goes to bed hungry, where no one has to freeze to death sleeping outside, and where one brother never has to attack another from a different country. After seeing all this, I wonder if this kind of human development is truly beneficial. Are we now a new kind of animal, one that is violent towards other beings that look just like us? Do we want to kill someone simply because they use different words when they speak and write? Because they live on a piece of land that we ourselves have divided into separate countries? Because their beliefs and values are different? Perhaps we are the only animals on this planet that kill members of our own species due to the prejudices that arise in our minds. How can this be considered progress when we can’t even live together with our different ideas, beliefs, and values? If we could just make this place better, we wouldn’t need to look for any other planet or place. We could be happy and live in joy right here.
