President Ramaphosa swore in a new SASSA minister this month (July 2026), Dina Pule. She officially heads up the Department of Social Development (DSD) now, following the axing of Sisisi Tolashe for maladministration. She returns to Cabinet after 13 years in the wilderness following her firing from the Ministry of Communications in 2013.
