Orlando Pirates drop points against a stubborn Siwelele

The Sea Robbers drew had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Siwelele on Saturday afternoon, meaning they could only stretch their lead at the summit of the Betway Premiership to a single point. Ex-Orlando Pirates star Vincent Pule opened the scoring, assisted by former Kaizer Chiefs winger Tebogo Potsane. Tshepang Moremi scored the Sea Robbers equaliser. Meanwhile, next up for Pirates is a trip to TS Galaxy on Sunday, 22 March, with kickoff at 15:30. The match will be aired on DStv Channel 202.

Nkota to Benfica or Kaizer Chiefs?

Meanwhile, according to Soccer Laduma, the future of former Orlando Pirates winger Mohao Nkota has taken a fresh new twist with Kaizer Chiefs throwing their name into the hat. Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq were initially keen to loan Nkota back to Orlando Pirates, but they’ve reconsidered. Nkota’s 2025-26 season in the SPL has been underwhelming, with two goals and three assists in 17 outings. Portuguese giants Benfica are also mentioned as a potential destination.
