I want to be revolting,
I want to stand for the truth,
For justice even when it hurts,
To see those others reject.

I want to be revolting,
To not allow others opinions,
Sway my own beliefs,
As I stand for the vulnerable.

I want to be revolting,
Even when society says no,
For we are all created,
I'm the image of God.

I want to be revolting,
As society shuts the homeless,
Out of a place of warmth,
And see them as God's creations.

I want to be revolting,
As Jesus was that day,
He spoke to Zacchaeus,
And did not turn away.

I want to be revolting,
When ceasefire is ignored,
And people continue to die,
While the world turns away.

I want to be revolting,
When discrimination abounds,
Where racism is visible
And hungry aren't feed.

I want to be revolting,
When poverty is present,
When the rich have all the say,
And the government is lacking.

I want to be revolting,
When hate crimes abound,
When missing Indigenous women
Are still left forgotten and unfound.

I want to be revolting,
As Sudan and Palestine scream,
And famine and death abide,
When colonialism evil flies.

I want to be revolting,
When money is power,
As worth is seen in affluence,
Instead of who you are.

I want to be revolting,
When the environment decays,
Yet people scream It's a fib,
And go on with their days.

I want to be revolting,
When Indigenous people,
Are left in ruin as culture,
Was cruelty stripped away.

I want to be revolting,
As Jesus was in his day,
Bringing peace and justice,
When hope seemed to fade.

I want to be revolting,
When I see the pain abound,
For change is possible,
When we all gather around.

So will you be revolting?
And join a path of peace,
Let restorative justice reign,
And harmony find it's place.

So will you be revolting?
And join this battle cry,
Not with guns and war,
But non violence at it core.

Will you be revolting?
Stand up for the truth,
We are all created equal,
God's love is for all.

Will you be revolting?
Welcome those at the table,
That society pushes aside,
Or will you turn away from their cries?
