ProVerb Joins Live Lotto Draws as New Host

South African rapper, MC and media personality ProVerb has shared exciting news with his fans after announcing that he is one of the new hosts of the National Lottery Live draws.
The popular media personality will host the Live Lotto draws alongside radio host Anele Mgudlwa. Together, they will present the National Lottery and Powerball live draws, bringing the results to viewers across the country.
ProVerb took to social media to share his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity. The television and radio star reflected on his first appearance as a host and what the role means to him.
“Tonight marked the return of the National Lottery live draws, and I had the privilege of stepping onto that stage as one of the new hosts. Grateful for the opportunity to be part of a moment that many South Africans remember fondly, now reimagined for a new era.

According to The Citizen, the appointment comes after the National Lottery licence officially moved to a new operator. Sizekhaya Holdings took over the licence on 1 June 2026, replacing Ithuba, which previously operated the National Lottery.
The first live draw under the new operator aired on e.tv at 9pm on Tuesday, 2 June. The return of the live draws marks a new chapter for the National Lottery as it enters a new era under Sizekhaya Holdings.
Lottery players can look forward to seeing ProVerb and Anele Mgudlwa regularly on their screens. Future Lotto and Powerball draws will be broadcast every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday on e.tv and SABC platforms.
