The Deputy Minister for Public Works and Infrastructure, Sihle Zikalala joined Northern Cape MEC for Roads and Public Works Bently Vass this week for an oversight visit to the Port Nolloth and Hondeklipbaai harbours, as government moves to fast-track the phased development of a coastal corridor built around fishing, aquaculture, tourism and maritime industry in the province. This comes after Port Nolloth fishing communities lost their launching quay due to a severe storm some eight years ago. Hondeklip Bay fishermen are also out in the cold with their boat launching area damaged.
