Listeria-linked hummus lands supplier in hot water as NCC seeks hefty fine

The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has referred hummus supplier BM Foods Manufacturers (Pty) Ltd to the National Consumer Tribunal for adjudication after traces of Listeria were found in products supplied to Shoprite Checkers, Cape {town} Etcreports. BM Foods Manufacturers now potentially face a R1 million penalty.
