Why Théo Hernandez was not called up by Zidane, France head coach: the future is uncertain

Théo Hernandez has 49 caps and 2 goals for France, including five appearances at last summer's World Cup in the United States, where he started against Senegal before subsequently losing his place (starting against Norway and England too, coming on as a substitute against Sweden and Spain, and staying on the bench against Iraq, Paraguay and Morocco). In those matches, Zidane turned to Bournemouth's Truffert, a natural left-back, and Inter's Diouf, who impressed despite playing out of position there. That is why, as things stand, he is now second choice.
