Cychlorphine Is a New Opioid Hidden in Counterfeit Pills

Psychology Today | 17.10.2026 03:14
Cychlorphine was identified as an emerging new and dangerous drug on April 30, 2026. This synthetic opioid warning came from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). The drug was appearing in counterfeit medications and mixed drug supplies and had already been linked to at least 55 overdose deaths nationwide. Some counterfeit pills masquerade as Xanax or other familiar medications. The lesson: don't trust a familiar-looking pill when you buy it from an illicit seller.
