Described as a brave struggle veteran, the late Mosiuoa "Terror" Lekota served in various government and Parliamentary positions, including being appointed as the first Premier of the Free State in 1994 until 1996, becoming the inaugural Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces in 1997.
