The inspiration behind Selfbewus is deeply personal. Dani wrote the song after experiencing the painful end of a close friendship that slowly faded. Dani describes it as the best video she has made so far, praising its strong visual identity and creative energy. Dani Villé’s journey in music spans years of live performances at festivals, private functions, weddings and corporate events. She has appeared at KKNK, Paarlbergfees, Sonskynfees, Wyn en Wildsfees, The Daisy Jones Bar, The House of Machines and Die Blouhond Teater. In 2023 she spent three months in Berlin performing and writing, an experience that influenced much of the music she released in 2025. After launching her debut EP Dani Villé in 2020, she built a strong digital presence on platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and Deezer. She also completed a Diploma in Music Business at COPA in Cape Town, demonstrating her understanding that success in the music industry requires both creativity and strategy.
