South African media personality, TV presenter, and founder of House of BNG, Bonang Matheba, continues to make waves in the fashion world. Renowned designer Thebe Magugu has officially announced Bonang as the muse for his Fall/Winter 2026 collection, marking an exciting collaboration between two influential figures in the industry.

The fashion brand, Thebe Magugu, shared the news on Instagram with a heartfelt message that reflects the inspiration behind the collection. The post read, “A return to where it all began – a small town in Lesotho that continues to shape how I see the world & design within it. There is power in knowing exactly where you come from, and I’ve always felt like Bonang (@bonang_m) embodies that with remarkable ease, as a woman who has built an entire universe simply around her presence.”

The announcement also introduced a standout piece from the collection. “Bonang, our muse for Fall/Winter 26, introduces the limited edition Mafeteng Dress in Bone White – with its associating Kite Cap. We invite you to discover the Mafeteng Capsule Collection this Saturday, 18 April at Magugu House Johannesburg and Magugu House Cape Town. Online from 23 April..”

This collaboration highlights Bonang’s strong influence not only in media but also in fashion, where her presence continues to inspire designers and audiences alike.

In addition to the collection launch, Thebe Magugu also spotlighted an ongoing exhibition that celebrates creativity and collaboration. The brand shared, “Our exhibition titled ‘By Our Hands’ is still open to guests visiting Magugu House Cape Town, which features powerful works by Zanele Muholi and Zizipho Poswa. Curated by Thebe Magugu (@thebetsilem) and Julia Buchanan, the exhibition foregrounds process over product, and traces how craft & collaboration shape contemporary cultural production across multiple creative disciplines.”

The exhibition, titled “By Our Hands,” is open to the public at Magugu House Cape Town from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10:00 and 18:00, giving visitors a chance to experience a blend of fashion and art in one space.

With this latest collaboration, Bonang Matheba once again proves why she remains a powerful and inspiring figure in South Africa’s creative scene.
