THE FUSE

Tucked between the Klein Karoo and the Garden Route, Uniondale is the sort of small South African town that is easy to drive through and much harder to forget. Surrounded by rugged mountains, wide-open landscapes and old farming country, this historic town makes a worthwhile stop on a road trip – particularly if you enjoy scenic drives, interesting local stories, good country food and places that feel a little removed from the usual tourist trail.
