NASA has confirmed that Artemis II astronauts saw five faint flashes of light from rocks striking the Moon with their own eyes during their April flyby, after ruling out cosmic rays and reflections from the spacecraft as the source. The confirmation appears in the agency's Artemis II Preliminary Lunar Science Report, released Wednesday, Oct. 7, alongside more than 800 gigabytes of mission data.
