So Alito Asked “What Does Sex Mean” During the Supreme Court Case on Trans Sports

Ok, so the Supreme Court just went over two trans sports bans, one from Idaho and another from West Virginia. Both were lifted in lower courts, even though those states aren’t exactly bright Blue. The West Virginia one was passed in 2021 and there was one trans athlete in that whole state, a third grade trans girl. Idaho’s ban requires pelvic exams ANY time a girl is suspected of being trans.
Neither of these bans should have gone to the Supreme Court but they did.
Just before the Supreme Court heard these cases, the Washington Post Editorial Board came out with an opinion piece so fucking hateful Fox News took the time to applaud it.
Once the Supreme Court actually reviewed the cases, I saw Alejandra Caraballo, a trans person that teaches law at the Harvard Law Cyberlaw Clinic, argue that the Supreme Court’s conservatives kept trying to get a definition of sex so that they could make a decision similar to the one made by the UK Supreme Court.
A good example of this is when Alito just outright asked “what does sex mean?”
