South African passport holders can now visit 100 countries visa-free

For globe-trotting South Africans, the latest Henley Passport Index brings a mix of good news and a slight reminder of global travel realities. As of March 2026, holders of a South African passport can visit 100 destinations without needing a visa before departure, down just one from January, after losing visa-free access to the Falkland Islands.
