Safety is shaping travel decisions more than ever, and Europe is leaning into the trend. According to the 2025 Global Peace Index (GPI), Iceland has once again been crowned the safest country in the world, joining Ireland, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal among Europe’s most secure destinations for the year ahead.
