I come from a place where,
nature enunciates sundry emotions ;
I come from a place which has,
engendered indomitable devotion.
I come from India, which is
independent yet caged;
I come from a country which,
I never envisaged .
I live in that country where ,
literacy is an apparent prerequisite
With the fraudulents overriding;
I live in that state where penury
is gravely aggravating.
I live in India where unity
rests only in our national flag;
I come from that state where
integrity is appalled.

I come from that state ,where
our women are menaced by the
nefarious stares;
I live in that state where candles
are ignited and justice is ensnared.
We celebrate the sham victory
of an ironic freedom,
While our mindset is minacled;
We wish for a pyrrhic triumph
while our thoughts yearn for
emancipation.
Yet, our stagnant hope is rejuvenated
With the hoisting of our esteemed flag;
Its glistening hues reinvigorate our lost determination;
I wish to see that India, whose heart carries sanguine visions.
I wish for Renaissance inundated with aspirations.
