Twenty-five years ago today, terrorists hijacked four aircraft in the northeastern USA. They crashed two into the World Trade Center towers in New York City, setting both towers alight until they collapsed. They flew one into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The fourth aircraft was on its way to crash into a building, almost certainly in Washington, D.C., when passengers fought back and the plane hit the ground in rural Pennsylvania.
