Arsenal stormed into the FA Cup fifth round with a ruthless 4‑0 demolition of third‑tier Wigan at the Emirates on a weekend where Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City all progressed.

Mikel Arteta’s side struck four times inside the opening 27 minutes, with Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli netting before Jack Hunt’s own goal and a Gabriel Jesus chip completed the rout.

The victory marks Arsenal’s first last‑16 appearance since their 2020 triumph and keeps their quadruple dream alive, as they lead the Premier League, sit in the Carabao Cup final and see themselves in the Champions League knockout stage.

A pre‑match injury to Riccardo Calafiori forced Bukayo Saka back into the eleven with Eberechi Eze handed a start and delivering two assists.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Leeds survived a penalty shoot‑out to edge Birmingham, while Wolves, Fulham and Sunderland also progressed.

Liverpool beat Brighton 3-0 at Anfield on Saturday, with Mohamed Salah netting a penalty to get back in the goals for the Reds.

Manchester City were 2-0 victors over Salford City while Newcastle United beat Aston Villa 3-1 at Villa Park. Chelsea defeated Hull City 4-0 on Friday night to book their place in Monday’s draw as well.
