High alert in eThekwini as SA Weather Service issues flooding and danger-to-life warning

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an orange level 6 warning for disruptive rainfall along the south coast and adjacent interior of KwaZulu-Natal, including eThekwini, from 00:00 on Thursday, 17 September until 23:59 on Friday, 18 September 2026.
