EPA Repeals Most Power Plant Carbon Standards and Proposes It Has No Authority to Regulate Their Climate Emissions

The Environmental Protection Agency on Monday, Sept. 14, finalized the repeal of most of the 2024 Carbon Pollution Standards for fossil fuel-fired power plants, including requirements built around carbon capture and storage. According to the EPA rule page, Administrator Lee Zeldin signed the final partial repeal that day.
