Six years ago, Thato Jessica began Peo Greens, a small business focused on buying fresh vegetables and herbs, packaging them, and delivering directly to homes. What started as a modest supplier operation has grown into a fully-fledged production enterprise, with a 288-square-metre cultivation area on a one-hectare subplot of her land dedicated to growing herbs and seedlings. Thato’s journey reflects slow and steady progress, underpinned by patience, dedication, and a commitment to learning the agricultural trade. Her early experience provided her with an understanding of market demand and customer preferences, laying the foundation for her eventual transition into full-scale production. By taking small but consistent steps, she has created a sustainable business model that blends entrepreneurial initiative with hands-on farming knowledge.
