Ten years on, it’s nearly impossible for me to tell people in person that I’m the victim of sexual assault. it doesn’t matter if theyre family or friends. It doesn’t matter how long I’ve known them. The trauma of that experience is beyond bone deep. it’s soul deep. When I’m dead and gone to whatever’s next, it might very well follow me.
