We had planned a trip to Yellowstone National Park and to get there, we decided to drive. This took us through South Dakota in the upper Great Plains region of the United States. Divided in two by the Missouri River, it is famously home to the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial.
