South African social media influencer Sarah Langa has officially stepped into an exciting new chapter of her career after launching her own interior design company, Sarah Langa Interiors. Known for her impeccable fashion sense and luxurious lifestyle content, Sarah is now turning her lifelong passion for beautiful spaces into a business that celebrates African creativity, craftsmanship and meaningful storytelling.
The influencer shared the exciting announcement with her followers on Instagram while revealing that she would be speaking on the Future Talks Stage at Decorex Johannesburg, which took place on Sunday, 2 August 2026. The event marked the perfect opportunity for Sarah to introduce this new chapter while discussing a topic that has become deeply personal to her.
She wrote: “I’m so excited to be joining the Future Talks Stage at Decorex Johannesburg today for a conversation that feels incredibly close to my heart.
I’ll be speaking on “Designing the Soft Life: How Design, Art and Authentic Living are Redefining Luxury.”
Sarah also shared what the idea of the “Soft Life” truly means to her, explaining that it goes far beyond luxury and material possessions.
She wrote:
“For me, the Soft Life has never been about excess-it’s about creating spaces that restore us, celebrating African craftsmanship, and designing homes that tell our stories with authenticity and intention.
If you’re at Decorex, l’d love for you to join us. Come be part of the conversation as we explore the future of luxury, design, art and intentional living.”
While many know Sarah for her work in fashion, travel and lifestyle, interior design has always been a passion that has quietly been growing behind the scenes. Speaking to the Sunday Times, she revealed that the decision to officially launch Sarah Langa Interiors came naturally after years of pursuing her love for creating beautiful spaces.
She told the Sunday Times: “I’ve always loved creating beautiful spaces. Long before there was a company, I was moving furniture around, redesigning rooms and helping friends bring their homes to life. Over the years, my audience has watched me share my love for interiors alongside fashion, travel and lifestyle, and the response has always been incredible.
The timing felt right because it stopped feeling like a passion project and started feeling like something bigger. I decided to move to London post-Covid-19 to explore this new life. I studied interior design at the British Academy of Interior Design and realised that the vision I had for this space required me to return home. Through the support of my community and the opportunities that came from building my platform, I was able to create a business that reflects who I am. I wanted to build something that celebrates African design, craftsmanship and storytelling while helping people create homes that feel personal and meaningful.”
Earlier this year, in January 2026, Sarah celebrated this milestone in a heartfelt way by hosting 15 of her closest people for an intimate dinner. The gathering was dedicated to thanking those who had supported her as she stepped into her new journey as an interior designer.
She wrote: “The theme was chrome with a touch of zebra. Chrome symbolised a fresh beginning, reflection, and clarity: a clean slate and the courage to step into something new.
Zebra, my spirit animal, represents balance between light and shadow, strength through individuality, and the beauty of standing confidently in who you are and Chrome to mirror my journey of embracing contrast, trusting my intuition, and honouring a path that is uniquely my own.”
