DJ Maphorisa Joins Black Coffee for Gallo 100 With Special Afro House Set in Cape Town

DJ Maphorisa has been announced as the latest addition to Gallo 100: The Sound of a Century, a major celebration marking 100 years of Gallo Record Company and its contribution to African music. The festival will take place at Cape Town’s Grand Parade on 15 December 2026, bringing together music from the past and present in a celebration of African sound. Maphorisa will deliver a specially curated Afro House set, adding another major name from South Africa’s contemporary electronic music scene to the programme. He joins previously announced headliner Black Coffee, creating a line-up that places South African dance music at the centre of the centenary event. The festival is expected to connect Gallo’s extensive musical heritage with the sounds and artists shaping African music today.
