Lancashire have given a new two-year contract to young all-rounder Arav Shetty.

The 21-year-old made his debut for the first team last year, playing in nine games across all three formats, including a County Championship debut at home to Middlesex.

A right-handed batter and an off-spin bowler, he had a top score of 40 and best bowling figures of 3-34 in the One-Day Cup.

Shetty is also the first graduate from the South Asian Cricket Academy to play for the Red Rose.

"His all-round abilities with the bat and his off breaks have added further depth to our squad," Lancashire head coach Steven Croft told the club's website.

"We're delighted to secure him on a longer-term deal and look forward to working with him to develop further with the Red Rose."
