Hawaii County residents whose homes were damaged when a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck beneath the Big Island in May can now apply for federal disaster help. The Hawaii declaration is one of six disaster notices the U.S. Small Business Administration published in the Federal Register on Sept. 9, covering events in Hawaii, California, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Texas.
