Actress, producer and human rights activist Nomzamo Mbatha is stepping onto one of Africa’s biggest stages as she prepares to co-host the highly anticipated Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards 2026. The countdown to the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards 2026 is officially on, and excitement continues to build as the hosts have now been revealed.
This year’s edition will be hosted by none other than Bovi Ugboma and Nomzamo Mbatha, two powerhouses in media whose impact across film and business continues to shape the industry. Their pairing has already sparked excitement among fans, with many eager to see the energy and chemistry they will bring to the stage.
The awards will be taking place on Saturday, 9 May 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria. The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) are a set of accolades presented by MultiChoice, recognising outstanding achievement in television and film across Africa through an annual ceremony hosted at the Exhibition Center of the Eko Hotel & Suites. The 12th edition of the awards will once again be held at this iconic venue, in partnership with Canal+.
Nomzamo Mbatha shared her excitement in the comments, saying, “Cannot WAAAAAIT”. Her enthusiasm reflects the anticipation surrounding the upcoming event.
Meanwhile, producer, TV and radio presenter Ik Osakioduwa congratulated the two hosts, commenting, “@officialbovi and @nomzamo_m Congratulations guys. I know you’ll kill it. I’ll be cheering for you.”
