We have 3 kids, and our little one is six. Yesterday I saw him playing with LEGO pieces by himself while narrating the game out loud — voicing the different characters. He was so absorbed in the game; it was joyful to watch. My other two children are older — they have left this way of playing behind, and I suddenly realized something: this might have been the last time I saw one of my children play in this way.
