THE FUSE

The Citrus Growers Association of Southern Africa’s Annual Citrus Day provided an important opportunity to showcase the people, businesses and innovations supporting the region’s citrus industry. Centred on the theme “The Power of Our Story!”, this year’s event placed a strong focus on the experiences and achievements shaping the citrus sector. Field visits provided participants with an opportunity to see the industry beyond the final product and gain insight into the processes that support citrus production, packing, research and community development. The programme included visits to the Mouton Citrus Orchard, its packhouse, a local community development initiative and the XSIT facility. Together, these visits highlighted the innovation, sustainability and community partnerships that continue to strengthen the citrus industry.
