The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has a mandate to help farmers gain access to reliable markets. This work sits under the sub directorate Marketing and Trade. To support this mandate, the department is running a Farmers Market Day at Schweizer Reneke Town Park. The event gives producers a direct link to buyers and creates a space where small and emerging farmers can promote their products with confidence.
