SA unemployment rises to 33.6% as 345,000 more become jobless
African Insider | 11.08.2026 18:53Johannesburg – South Africa’s official unemployment rate increased to 33.6% in the second quarter of 2026, as the number of unemployed people rose while employment declined, according to Statistics South Africa (Stats SA).
