You probably know this experience. You meet someone new, and all of a sudden, your brain won’t let go. The conversations replay in loops — what you said, how you said it, and how they reacted. You think about that one joke, that slightly too-long pause, and that moment when you weren’t sure if they were actually interested in what you were saying, or just being polite.
