The Vibeification of Politics
Nothing is real; there are only vibes

If you were to assume that politics is a realm of discussion where people come to their own conclusions based on facts or even an affinity for a given politician or set of policies, you would be sorely mistaken. Countless times throughout history, we have seen politicians and movements rise to the top of society despite not having policies that would actually benefit the great majority of people.
What’s funny about this is that people will often remark that politicians don’t care about the ordinary people and only care about themselves and their wealthy donors. In the interest of fairness, I do think this is a bit of an oversimplification, but there is certainly some truth to it. When we look at the current state of the world, we constantly seem to be locked in a perpetual doom loop where the rich continue to get richer, and the poor get poorer.
People will look at this and scratch their heads, trying to come up with all types of reasons as to why politicians and parties are able to gain popularity and power despite offering no vision of politics that actually benefits even the people who vote for them. The truth of the matter, and something people have talked about for some time now, is that, for most people, politics is purely about vibes…
