Exceptional Drought Expands to 16.6% of Oklahoma as Wheat Seeding Falls Behind and the Entire State Stays in Drought

New areas of exceptional drought appeared in Bryan, Atoka, Stephens and Jefferson counties in southern Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma Farm Report's analysis of the map released Sept. 17. Every part of the state is now in moderate drought or worse, and none of Oklahoma is drought-free.
