Presenter Woods 'taken ill' during England coverage

Presenter Laura Woods appeared to faint while leading the coverage of England's friendly against Ghana on Tuesday.

Woods was caught by pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asante, at which point ITV cut to an advert break.

When the coverage returned, colleague Katie Shanahan had taken over as presenter and confirmed that Woods had been "taken ill".

"As you have probably noticed, we don't have the wonderful Laura Woods because she's just been taken ill but she's in very good hands so I'm stepping in at late notice," Shanahan said.
