Lira Brings ‘Still Here’ to the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City

South African singer and songwriter Lerato Moipone Molapo, popularly known as Lira, is gearing up for a special performance at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City casino. Her much-anticipated show, titled Still Here, is set for Saturday, 18 April 2026, and promises more than just music.
Excited about the upcoming event, Lira shared on her Instagram, “Still Here. More than a concert — it is a celebration of healing, courage, and the transformative power of music. Before Johannesburg, Lira will take the stage in Durban at Chris Saunders Park on Sunday, 29 March 2026. She shared her excitement, saying, “Durban are you ready! I’m so excited!! It’s going to be my first time performing at Chris Saunders park and it’s going to be wonderful! I look forward to seeing all of you! Ngiyanithanda!”
The singer has also been in a reflective and celebratory mood, marking her recent birthday with gratitude. “Looking back at the year that was, I feel so grateful. I have truly been blessed. Lira also honored her late mother’s birthday on Saturday, 14 March 2026, celebrating her mother’s 70th birthday in a heartfelt tribute. “Celebration of Life: What a special day that was. Saturday, 14 March 2026. I not only celebrated my birthday, but I also honoured my mom’s 70th birthday, which was on 7 March. I wore one of her dresses (I’ve inherited so many of her beautiful pieces), and in that moment, I felt so close to her. It was a deeply meaningful and beautiful night. Celebrating at my favourite jazz club, @hughs_jazz_club, made it even more magical – it was truly spectacular. Thank you to everyone who came – my friends, family, my mom’s friends, colleagues and clients. Thank you for filling the room with so much love. And to all of you in my social media world, thank you for the beautiful birthday wishes. I felt every message and I truly appreciate you.”
