Ways to Disclose My Disabilities
It feels a bit like how I’d imagine crafting a large Terms of Service document while naked in Times Square to feel.

As someone who often comes across more like a complete turd than a disabled person to other people, I’ve often grappled with the calculation of whether disclosing my disabilities or a subset of them would be beneficial. There are often no simple answers as to how or when to do so and there have been times where doing so has greatly backfired.
I’ve also noticed that out of all of my alphabet soup (autism, inattentive ADHD, and OCD), I’m under the most pressure to take a hard stance either way when it comes to autism, compared to the other two. I’m not quite sure why that is. Perhaps it’s because humans are too social for their own good and anything that directly mutates the societal order stands out.
Here are some options for disclosure that I could foresee existing in different scenarios.
