Media personality and broadcaster Sizwe Dhlomo is officially leaving Kaya 959’s breakfast show, Siz the World with Sizwe Dhlomo, with his final show airing on 27 May 2026.

The station confirmed the news in a statement, thanking Dhlomo for the impact he made during his time on the popular morning programme. Known for his bold opinions, sharp commentary and engaging conversations, Dhlomo became a familiar voice for thousands of listeners who tuned in every weekday morning.

Kaya 959 also expressed gratitude for the connection he built with audiences throughout his time on air. Acting Managing Executive Dave Tiltmann praised Dhlomo’s unique broadcasting style and his ability to spark important conversations.

“Sizwe has brought a singular presence to Kaya 959. He is a broadcaster with a strong point of view, a deep understanding of the world around him and a rare ability to provoke thought and conversation,” said Tiltmann.

He added that the station appreciates the role Dhlomo played on the breakfast show and wished him success in the future.

Dhlomo also reflected on his journey at the station, describing the experience as both meaningful and memorable. He shared how special breakfast radio is because presenters become part of listeners’ daily routines and lives.

“My time on Kaya 959 has been meaningful and memorable. Breakfast radio is a special privilege because you become part of people’s mornings, their routines, and their lives,” said Dhlomo.

The media personality thanked listeners for supporting the show and also acknowledged the production team behind the scenes who helped bring the programme to life every morning.

“I am grateful to the listeners who have spent that time with us, to the team who helped bring the show to life each day, and to Kaya for the opportunity to be part of its story,” he added.

While Dhlomo’s departure marks the end of an era for the station’s breakfast lineup, Kaya 959 has already revealed plans for the future. The station confirmed that a brand-new breakfast show team will be announced in June, with the refreshed programme expected to launch in July 2026.

In the meantime, listeners will still wake up to a familiar voice. Veteran radio personality Thomas Msengana will temporarily host the weekday breakfast slot from 06:00 to 09:00 during June as the station prepares for its next chapter.
