Paramedics and social workers targeted in more than 260 attacks in Western Cape

At least 206 attacks involving emergency medical services (EMS) personnel and emergency response operations were recorded in the Western Cape between 2023 and 2026, while 55 attacks on social workers were reported during the same period.
