South African award-winning artist Tyla has put an end to the rumours that she has signed with Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation.
The singer recently found herself at the centre of online speculation after reports claimed that she had signed a new multi-million-dollar global management and partnership deal with Roc Nation. The rumours quickly gained traction, leaving many fans convinced that Tyla had joined the entertainment company.
The speculation grew even stronger after her alleged arrival was celebrated with a major digital takeover in New York City’s famous Times Square. The eye-catching display sparked excitement on social media, with many believing it was confirmation that the South African star had officially become part of the Roc Nation family.
As the rumours continued to spread, Tyla decided to address them herself.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the singer made it clear that the reports were not true. She wrote, “I’m not signed to Rocnation But my album A*POP drops 24/7. (24 JULY 2026).”
With just one post, Tyla cleared up the speculation while also reminding fans that her focus is on the release of her upcoming album, A*POP, which is set to be released on 24 July 2026.
Roc Nation is one of the world’s leading entertainment and sports management companies. Founded by rapper and entrepreneur JAY-Z in 2008, the company represents and manages some of the biggest names in music, including Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion and J Balvin.
A quick look at Roc Nation’s official website also does not list Tyla among its artists, further supporting her statement.
While she may not be joining the Roc Nation family, Tyla continues to make her mark on the global music scene. She recently performed as one of the main headliners at AfroNation in Portugal.
The three-day festival took place at Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão, Portugal, from 3 July to 5 July 2026. Tyla shared the stage with global superstars including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake, Gunna and Kehlani, further cementing her growing international success.
Although the Roc Nation rumours have now been put to rest, Tyla’s career continues to reach new heights. With her highly anticipated album A*POP arriving on 24 July 2026, fans around the world are eagerly waiting to hear what the South African star has in store next.
