On 23 April 2026, South Africa placed its agricultural skills in the global spotlight when Minister John Steenhuisen officially recognised two outstanding sheep shearers for their achievements on the world stage. The recognition honoured Mr Bonile Rabela and Mr Teboho Nyatsa after their strong performances at the Golden Shears World Shearing and Wool Handling Championships in Masterton, New Zealand.
