Ngcobo might have one more chance with Kaizer Chiefs

Fan-favourite and academy talent Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is under fire for his failure to string together consistent performances. Injuries have ravaged the 26-year-old’s career to date, and now, rumours suggest the club could move him on at the end of the 2025-26 campaign after running out of patience. One fan said he is ‘made of glass’, in an attempt to highlight his frustrating injury-proneness. He hasn’t managed more than 16 appearances in any of the last five Betway Premiership campaigns and has only chalked up 36 in his last three, although he has eclipsed his appearance figures from 2023-24 and 2024-25 (11 Betway Prem outings in each), currently sitting on 12 for the 2025-26 campaign and there are still 11 matches to play. Has Ngcobo turned a corner?

Ex-Pirates man Nkota to return to South Africa?

Meanwhile, according to Soccer Laduma, the future of former Orlando Pirates winger Mohao Nkota has taken a fresh new twist with Kaizer Chiefs throwing their name into the hat. Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq were initially keen to loan Nkota back to Orlando Pirates, but they’ve reconsidered. Nkota’s 2025-26 season in the SPL has been underwhelming, with two goals and three assists in 17 outings. Portuguese giants Benfica are also mentioned as a potential destination.
