Eastern Cape Agriculture Boosts Livestock Production in Graaff-Reinet

On 18 December 2025, the Eastern Cape Department of Agriculture delivered production inputs to 70 beneficiaries in Graaff-Reinet. The support took place under Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality in the Sarah Baartman District. The intervention focused on emerging farmers who depend on livestock for income and household food supply. It formed part of ongoing provincial efforts to stabilise small scale production. The department worked with local partners to ensure accurate targeting and smooth distribution.
